Happy Birthday Aretha Franklin!!!

Today my Diva.....The Queen of Soul turns 68 today!!!

Aretha Louise Franklin (born March 25, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter and pianist commonly referred to as The Queen of Soul. Although renowned for her soul recordings, Franklin is also adept at jazz, rock, blues, pop, R&B and gospel music. This lady has been my idol since I could talk!! I have always loved the power of her voice and have always admired how deftly she uses her instrument. I had the pleasure of meeting my idol once and I was speechless for what had to be one of the few times of my life! (lol)....if EVER I get the chance to meet her again.....TRUST ME when I tell you I won't be speechless again!!
