Just for the record....these "Wiz" references may be around for a while....lol...so prepare yourself. Anywhoo....I think that I may be catching a daggone summer cold.... here are my symptoms and my thoughts:

• Scratchy throat (could be allergies...taking a shot of echinacea)
• Sneezing (could also be allergies..another a shot of echinacea)
• Post Nasal Drip (Yup.  Could be allergies too)
• Clogged Nose (mmm hmm....pesky allergies perhaps?)
• Coughing repetitively from the DEPTHS OF MY SOUL???  (HUH? .... AW HELL NO!!!!)

THIS IS DEFINITELY A SUMMER COLD!!! THE DEVIL IS A LIAR!!!! I AM NOT HAVING THIS MESS!!!  I JUST TOOK A COLD AND FLU SHOT FROM DR. SCHULZE...

We'll see how it goes.....sigh....NO one wants a cold...but a cold in the middle of Summer during a HEAT WAVE???  Just miserable.....

Dating site BeautifulPeople.com expels 5,000 people for gaining weight over the holidays

Apparently it's not easy staying slim and beautiful over the holidays...

About 5,000 members of a popular dating site found that out the hard way, when they were booted from BeautifulPeople.com - the site is a dating and networking site for attractive individuals that has a "ban on ugly people" (WTF?) - for putting on a few pounds over the holidays.

"As a business, we mourn the loss of any member, but the fact remains that our members demand the high standard of beauty be upheld. Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded," Robert Hintze, founder of BeautifulPeople.com, said in a statement.

So how did these "fatties" get flagged? Other members, angry that the now-plumper members were still on the site, demanded action from the company.

"We responded to complaints by moving the newly chubby members back to the rating stage. This is the same as having them re-apply," Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, said in a statement.

NYC's Mice LOVE Junior's Cheesecake Too!!!! YUCK!

Did y'all see this mess on the news today? I KNEW there was a good reason I never liked those damn cheesecakes at Junior's...Lol...that crunchy black stuff they put on the bottom has ALWAYS reminded me of cat litter droppings....YUCK YUCK YUCK!!

Fans of Junior's cheesecake got an unwelcome surprise over the weekend when photos that appear to show a mouse in the cake display at its flagship downtown Brooklyn location began multiplying across the Internet.

The eek-inducing images of the tiny vermin peering from between two cheesecakes and another of a mouse lounging between two trays were posted to the Web site Brooklynian.com Saturday afternoon by someone using the pseudonym "Rachel Rae."

"Rae" said a friend took them and posted on Facebook.

By Tuesday, the photos were picked up far and wide - sparking an outpouring of posts from Junior's cheesecake lovers.

The new Michelle Obama Doll

I'm sorry fam....I'm just not feeling this new Michelle Obama "action figure doll".....they got our First Lady looking like a Mrs. Potato Head doll....I'm not feeling the stumpy looking short legs (Mrs Obama is a TALL woman people!!!) nor those arms that look like Pinocchio's dad Geppetto made them either!!! lol...I'll probably buy one tho' (cuz I collect dolls like that) but it's official....I hate it.

And look closely at the Barack Obama doll in the inset photo....what's up with the Arsenio Hall finger pointing hand???? WTH???

Surely the creators of these "Action Figures" could have come up with more attractive dolls for our nation's first family....this is bullsh*t y'all.....sorry. I don't even remotely wanna play with that....

What's up with the exclusion of Plus Sized Models on The View

What Up Family!?

If you all know me at all....you know that I love to watch The View on ABC in the morning while I am having my coffee. My favorite segment of the show of course are the "hot topics"....cuz that's when all the FIGHTING starts...lol.

Now, I have worked on the View MANY, MANY times as a plus sized model during the Star Jones era of the show. I gotta tell you family.....Right now...I am LONGING for the return of Star Jones (or at least someone who THINKS like her) and I will tell you why.....

This morning I watched the show which was specifically geared to teen girls and the producers brought in Glamour Magazine to put on a little fashion show for teen girls - based their style influences from teen music icons (i.e Miley Cyrus, Beyonce etc....). I had a big ole problem with this fashion show for several reasons.....

For one thing...call me old fashion but if you are MY teenage daughter - you won't be going ANYWHERE in no 3 inch heels. Period. One of the models pinky toe didn't even FIT in that grown ass shoe they had her in!!! WTH is up with THAT Glamour??? They had those poor girls clomping around the stage like HORSES because it was clearly evident that they could NOT walk in those shoes!!! Big giant bags/purses on 13 year olds??? NOT!!!! For goodness sakes let these girls be GIRLS for as long as they can!!!

I did, however, love the fact that both Joy and Elizabeth questioned some of those styling choices that they chose for the young models....

My OTHER problem with this show (and this is what makes me long for Star's return) is the fact that they (both the producers AND Glamour Magazine) chose to totally ignore the plus sized teenager....not a mention anywhere. This would have NEVER happened with Star - if she was nothing else on that show....she was VERY VOCAL about the inclusion of plus sizes in the fashion segments. We plus sized gals worked steadily when Miss Star was on the show (of course now that she's lost all that weight - she's no longer vocal like she used to be). As a matter of fact, there were entire fashion SEGMENTS devoted to plus sizes, largely at the behest of Miss Star (who I am assuming got real tired of not seeing a representation of herself on the stage!) I mean they had all the teen music icons....why didn't you include Raven Symone, who's a plus sized singer/actress with a HUGE following. This is just totally ignorant and I cannot believe that with all those "Chunky Monkeys" (lol...thanks for that one Deb) sitting on that panel now...that NO ONE bothered to say anything about it!!!

To The View and it's Producers AND Glamour Magazine - Check the stats! Over 2/3 of the population are a size 14 or larger.....RECOGNIZE!!! Segments like this one are sending out the wrong message to these teen girls (who are already struggling to be comfortable in their own skins - amongst so much peer pressure) and y'all really need to check yourselves!

That's just my two cents.
