Veteran Actor James Mitchell Dies at 89
Actor James Mitchell, who played Palmer Cortland on ABC's long running soap opera All My Children for 30 years has died at 89 after a long battle with lung disease and complications from pneumonia.

I did not know that he had cancer. That is why he was away from the show. I loved his character.
Aww:-(! So sorry to hear that! He and the guy that played Asa on OLTL were the BEST daytime villains!
