Ruben Studdard & Jennifer Hudson to Return To American Idol?

The Velvet Teddy Bear will return to the stage of American Idol on Thursday.

Since winning the popular Fox television show, Ruben Studdard has made a career singing both gospel and R&B. His acting gigs include the tour of Ain't Miss Behavin.

Studdard is the season two Idol winner, whose victory over Clay Aiken still sparks controversy about how the judges and the audience vote. Read more about the controversy in Newsday.

Meanwhile, the secret about Jennifer Hudson's performance is out - but don't tell anybody!!!

The New York Post reports that the 27-year-old Hudson, who was a season four loser to Fantasia Barrino, will perform after tomorrow night's show. Hudson is another one of those gospel-trained artists who dips into gospel while making a career in R&B.

“With all humility, I think, 'Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.' Infinitely more important than the vain attempt to love one's neighbor as one's self. If you want to hit a bird on the wing, you must have all your will in focus, you must not be thinking about yourself, and equally, you must not be thinking about your neighbor: you must be living in your eye on that bird. Every achievement is a bird on the wing.” - Oliver Wendell Holmes
