Jennifer Hudson's Mother Murdered in Chicago

Sad news family....

I just picked this up from AOL's Black Voices Blog:

By Karu F. Daniels, BlackVoices.com
Family members of Academy Award winning actress/singer Jennifer Hudson have been shot in Chicago. According to CBS affiliate WBBM-TV, Hudson's mother was found fatally shot in a South Side home earlier today. The Chicago Fire Department confirmed that two adults were found dead in a home at 70th Street and Yale Avenue. Willie Davis, pastor of the family's church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, confirms that 57-year-old Darnell Hudson Donerson was one of the victims. A neighbor told 'TMZ.com the other victim was Jennifer's brother Jason. But that has not been confirmed. A cousin, who lived nearby, reportedly discovered the bodies. More details have surfaced.
"This is a very sad day to get that kind of news," Davis said. "This is really going to be a major, major blow to such a wonderful person ... But we know through our faith in God she'll get through it." He also told the CBS station that the J Records recording artist's relationship with her mother was "very close." The 'Spotlight' singer was expected to arrive in Chicago from Florida.

The other victim found at the crime scene around 3 p.m. was a man whose identity has not been disclosed. The shooting is believed to be domestic. According to 'TMZ.com,' an all-points-bulletin has been issued for the boy, believed to be Hudson's 7-year-old nephew (pictured right) who may have been taken from the scene. Police are looking for 1994 white Suburban with the license plate X584859.

A rep for the 'Dreamgirls' star could not be reached by deadline.

UPDATE - Police suspect that the man who committed the murders is William Balfour - Jennifer's sister Julia's husband.

Balfour is NOT the father of the missing 7 year old. Balfour may be ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If you know of his whereabouts - please call the Chicago Police Department's EMERGENCY LINE

Wow, this is a terrible tragedy family. My heart and prayers go out to Ms. Hudson and her family at this difficult time.
