Red Carpet Arrivals: The 51st Annual Grammy Awards!!

My Curvy Divas (and a few skinny gals...lol) had an amazing night at The 51st Annual Grammy Awards last night....my eyelids began to get heavy about 1 hour into the broadcast and I hung on long enough to catch a glimpse of La Diva Whitney present the Best R&B Album award to Jennifer Hudson and long enough to hear Jennifer's AWESOME singing performance!

The curvy divas (and a few big boys) took home several awards and looked awesome on the red carpet....

You gotta give it to Miss Whitney, Mama looked AMAZING last night...all was well until she began to speak and then you just knew that something was amiss with her.....it's all good though...she got a HUGE reception and a standing O from the crowd! Yeah...we ALL want Whitney to do well and it looks like she's almost there.....almost.

Snoop Dogg was there with his curvaceous and beautiful wife Shante
(Sigh...black dress)

Queen Latifah looking regal in Navy Blue (jury's still out on the dress though...and hell yes...navy blue is thisclose to black!!!)

And Miss Natalie Cole (Simply because I LOVE the dress! See, color CAN be a beautiful thing!)

Amercan Idol Winner & Grammy Nominee

Jordin Sparks
(Sigh...another black themed dress)

Producer Jimmy Jam and his missus
Grammy Nominee Maiysha

Jennifer Hudson appears overwhelmed at the response after her performance

1st Award of the broadcast - Best R&B Album - Jennifer Hudson

And she brought her fiance David Otunga to celebrate with her

Fantasia chats up Jordin Sparks

Fantasia looking like a lady on the red carpet (the dresses are STILL black in theme though!)

Y'all know I love me some Anthony Hamilton and his wife Tarsha McMillan can be considered a "curvy chick!"

Not really sure of what's going on with Raven Symone here

Jennifer Hudson (This chick is gonna be HUGE!!!)
Adele - Double Grammy Award Winner
Best New Artist: Adele
Best Female Pop Vocal Performance: Adele, "Chasing Pavements"

The future looks bright for this Curvy Diva from the UK as well (But I will be honest...I DO believe in that "Best New Artist" jinx...so I'mma lil nervous for her). You know Miss Anna Wintour styled Adele for the Grammys and what does she choose??? But of course...ANOTHER BLACK DRESS!!!!

I love the green jacket in the previous picture but I will be honest...I ain't really feeling this out fit at all (makes her look old to me)....lol...she shoulda called my girl Susan Moses!!!

Best Urban/Alternative Performance:
Chrisette Michele Featuring will.i.am, "Be OK"

Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance:
Al Green Featuring Anthony Hamilton, "You've Got the Love I Need"

Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals:
Al Green Featuring John Legend, "Stay With Me (by the Sea)"

Best Traditional Blues Album: B.B. King, One Kind Favor

Congrats to all of the winners!
